Plan of Action
The foundation’s work is particularly impactful in areas such as child protection, youth & women empowerment, literacy, & training. Through income-generating activities, MiaMore has successfully enhanced & improved livelihoods. By collaborating with a wide range of individuals, including organizations, & networks, MiaMore strengthens the role of partner community-based organizations. This support extends to areas such as Child protection, Food security, Livelihoods, Education, Physical & Mental Health for Youth & Women [outside of US: to include WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), HIV/AIDS, Malaria] and Environmental Conservation advocacy.
MiaMore focuses on building the capacity of community-based organizations, empowering them to mobilize resources, train individuals, monitor activities, and network and collaborate with service providers and stakeholders. Additionally, we aim to equip these organizations with the skills necessary for evidence-based advocacy, lobbying, collaboration, and networking with other relevant entities. Through these efforts, MiaMore addresses the social, economic, and political issues that impact the targeted communities, ultimately working towards sustainable development.
Theory of Change
Service Delivery focuses on addressing immediate causes of mal-development through structured services provided to defined beneficiaries. We see service delivery not as an end goal, but as a means to achieve true development, foster the growth & self-sustainability of local communities.
Capacity Building is aimed at enhancing people’s knowledge, awareness, and skills to address the underlying causes of vulnerability and mal-development. By strengthening their capacity and understanding of decision-making processes, beneficiaries gain the confidence and ability to manage their own destinies. Capacity building contributes to a more sustainable development process by reinforcing the Assessment-Analysis-Action cycle.
Advocacy plays a crucial role in developing consensus and generating action. It involves engaging duty bearers and influencing policies to fulfill their responsibilities. We follow an Advocacy Policy, Strategy, & yearly advocacy plans to guide its networks and partners. Miamore supports grassroots advocacy efforts by training communities and local leaders, empowering them to create their own advocacy plans. At the national level, the foundation collaborates with others in advocating for policy changes or legal challenges to address critical issues.
By combining Service Delivery, Capacity Building, and Advocacy, the Miamore Foundation works towards enabling individuals and communities to enjoy their right to development and create sustainable change.
Impact Stories
At MiaMoreFoundation, we firmly believe that no child or parent should endure such hardships without support. We are committed to making a positive change by providing vital medication that can help ease the pain and discomfort associated with these corrective surgeries.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to make these surgeries easier and less traumatic for both children and their families. Through our dedicated efforts, we aim to alleviate the physical and emotional burden that accompanies these procedures. By providing the necessary medication, we strive to enhance the overall experience, promoting a more comfortable and compassionate environment for all involved.
*Update: Last month Jacob took his 1st steps!
Zimbabwe: We are driven by a deep desire to make a meaningful impact in Zimbabwe. One of our dedicated managers has a personal connection to the cause, as their own child was born with a foot deformity that requires a challenging and painful correction process.
Imagine the heartbreak and courage it takes for a parent to hold their precious infant while their tiny legs are broken multiple times over the period of a year, all in the hopes of correcting this deformity. It is a truly difficult and agonizing experience, made even more challenging by the absence of pain relief.
Uganda: Rehman spent almost a year in Kampala, from 2019 – 2020 and was very fortunate to make friends and experience firsthand the realities faced by so many children. Towards the end of 2022, MiaMore Foundation received official 501c3 status at the end of 2022, we were eager to find a project! He went to visit his friend Gilbert, the Director at TestimonyAfrica.org. He took Reh to a property where he wanted to create a social center for the orphans under TestimonyAfrica’s care. What started out as an educational initiative with the goal of providing educational support to these children in Africa has now evolved into our collaboration.
Our journey began by working with over 200 orphans, fundraising tirelessly to ensure that they have the opportunity to attend school. Witnessing the transformative power of education, we were determined to do even more. That’s when we embarked on a groundbreaking endeavor – This Social Center is now also a safe home for these children, now known as our Model Project.
Today, our Model Project stands as a beacon of hope and a sanctuary for children in need. Among these children are 121 that are
are victims of civil war displacement from South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo and over 70 orphaned and street children seeking refuge from challenging living conditions.
Home Africa Ewaks serves as a safe haven, providing not only shelter but also psychosocial support with our vibrant social center, offering spaces for expression and interaction through the power of music, dance and art studios. Our facility serves as therapy and rehabilitation sessions for the children, fostering their holistic growth and well-being. We look forward to building out our SkillsTraining center with Sustainable garden that will introduce many opportunities for our children to learn, grow and develop skills for self-sufficiency.
*We are now in full collaboration with TestimonyAfrica.org supporting the Creation of Home Africa Ewaka. We have brought love, comfort and emotional support for our group & will continue to improve the lives of these children through Health & Education!
Sierra Leone: We are excited to share our heartfelt journey of visiting rural communities in Sierra Leone. Our travels have taken us to remarkable places, and we have had the privilege of witnessing the incredible resilience and determination of the children we aim to support.
One of our most memorable experiences was visiting a thatch hut school nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of Sierra Leone. This humble establishment consisted of three classrooms, each divided by age groups – young, younger, and youngest. The sight was truly awe-inspiring.
As we entered the classrooms, we were greeted by a group of eager children, their bright eyes shining with curiosity and enthusiasm. What struck us the most was the stark contrast between their desire to learn and the lack of resources available to them. Some of these brave young souls had shoes, while others had only one shoe or none at all. Yet, their determination to gain an education remained unwavering.
The classroom, adorned with nothing more than a sheet of paper serving as a makeshift chalkboard, tugged at our heartstrings. Handwritten notes, lovingly crafted by devoted teachers, adorned the walls, ensuring that these children had access to the knowledge they so desperately sought.
Inspired by their unwavering spirit, we are committed to making a difference in their lives. We believe that education is a fundamental right that every child deserves. And so, we have made it our mission to provide these incredible students with the tools they need to learn and grow.
We recognize that even simple supplies, such as a chalkboard and chalk, can have a profound impact on their educational journey. These seemingly ordinary items can transform their learning environment, allowing teachers to impart knowledge more effectively and students to engage with the material more actively.
We can make a tangible difference in the lives of these deserving children by providing them with the school supplies they need, ensuring that they have access to quality education and a brighter future. We can make a lasting impact in the lives of these children, one chalkboard at a time.

Everyday Reh saw this little girl and her grandmother outside of his building. Whenever he passed her would give her a few dollars. One day he gave her a ten dollar bill and the next day she had shoes and an outfit without holes. We want to provide basic necessities for children!
