Summer Holmes Foundation Ltd (Ongoing)

During the month of June there have been several conflicts in the District of Kasese in the Western Region of Uganda.

There was a school attack, 17 boys & 20 girls were killed in their dormitories. Some students were burned beyond recognition, and others by guns and machetes.  This has left their community in grief & fear. We are supporting this town with recovery. Along with pre-existing situations with their reserve water tank and latrines need repair, as they are unsafe to enter. The town has lost their only ambulance from a fire and desperately needs a replacement.

To support the recovery efforts in Kasese district western Uganda, Miamore Foundation priorities is addressing the immediate needs of the community. Repairing the reserve water tank and latrines that were damaged during the attack. Without access to safe water and sanitation facilities, the community’s health and well-being is at risk, Replacing Lost Ambulance is another critical aspect of the recovery efforts to enable response and access to emergency medical services.
